Tennis anyone? That familiar phrase is often heard
near our four state of the art clay tennis courts, which have an
internal hydration system..
These courts are in excellent condition and offer a

-
Rules and regulations governing play are
established by the Tennis Committee. Compliance with such rules
and regulations is the responsibility of the Tennis Chairman and
players should cooperate with him at all times.
-
Tennis Courts are open from 8 AM until dusk.
-
Courts 1,2,3, and 4 may be reserved by calling the
Tennis Pro Shop. Reservations are for an hour and a half at a
time. No reservations may be made except during that week of play.
No times will be accepted for the following week until the
beginning of that week, Tuesday morning, with the exception of
scheduling parties.
-
Reservations generally will be taken between April
15 and September 15. Please contact Tennis Pro for court schedule.
-
Soft-soles shoes with flat bottoms must be worn by
all tennis players. Top shirts must be worn by all players and no
bathing attire will be worn on the courts. Appropriate tennis
attire should be worn at all times.
-
Non-members shall not be accorded tennis
privileges except as follows: Upon being sponsored by a member, a
non-member may use the court by paying a fee of $6.00. Guests
should be registered with the Tennis Pro. No guest shall be
allowed to play more than 3 times per year.
-
The courts will be kept locked after 5:00 PM in
the evening. If there are players on the courts at that time they
will be expected to be sure courts are locked when leaving. In
absence of the Tennis Pro, keys are available at the Trophy Room
Bar or Golf Pro Shop to gain entry to the courts. It is the
responsibility of each player to return the key when leaving the
courts.
-
Members are expected to cooperate in keeping the
courts clean as well as the tennis pavilion area. Please put
debris of any kind in the trash container. Report to Tennis
Chairman any vandalism or violations.
-
The Tennis Chairman will have responsibility for
running all tournaments on the tennis courts and no one is to
schedule any such event without permission from him.
-
The Tennis Chairman is empowered to enforce
compliance and if necessary recommend that habitual offenders be
disciplined in order to ensure compliance to these regulations.
-
Children under 10 years of age MUST NOT be left
unattended at the tennis courts. In the interest of personal
safety, such children must be supervised by a parent or a
qualified baby- sitter ACCEPTABLE to the Tennis Pro. Our tennis
staff is NOT hired to baby-sit.
-
When crossing occupied courts, please be courteous
and wait until the point has been completed before crossing.
-
If a ball from another court should roll into your
court during a point, stop play immediately by calling a "let" and
return ball to proper court. (Note: If that court is in the middle
of a point, wait until point has been completed before returning
ball.) After a "let" you may re-play point.
-
For your own safety, do not place balls on court
surface near you or baseline (while you serve, for example.) If
you do not have pockets ask your partner to hold a ball or place
by back of fence. And note that it is illegal to drop a second
ball in play during a point (i.e. holding two balls while serving
and tossing the extra behind you after first serve has been put
into play).
-
Court #1 will be reserved for private tennis
lessons. Anyone using the court will please yield to Tennis Pro
when needed. When all courts are in use, play should be limited to
1 1/2 hours for doubles and 1 hour singles.
-
Minors must yield to adults as to courts and court
preference, except during lessons, clinics, and interclub matches
scheduled by Pro.
